Nutrition and Digestive Overall Program Objectives • Choose to eat food and beverages consistent with the recommendations based on the dietary guidelines • Increase physical activity • Identify the organs of the digestive system and their function • Understand the chemical and mechanical aspects of digestion • Identify the different phases and stages of digestion Course Description: the nutrition part of the module assists students in understanding the part of nutrition in health and wellness. Guided instruction, cooperative learning, and hands-on- labs will be used. Ultimately, students will gain the skills to plan, purchase, and prepare nourishing foods to evaluate and improve their daily diet.
